I tried a product from Auto Glym about a month ago, and my expectations were not high as other products did not work. But to my amazement this product actually works. It really does repel the brake dust.
Cheers

Supercheap has it. And in the fine print ..... no good for dark wheels.

Yep, I've used this... its brilliant. Not just for brake dust but also for mud and sand etc.

Its also often on special.

Pity I just got the wheels painted :/

Cold black tea works a treat removing any that's stuck to your wheels. Don't laugh - go try it. Leaf tea works best, brew up a strong batch and let it go cold. Put it in a spray bottle and soak the wheel - it then can be pretty much wiped and rinsed off.

Haven't found better for shifting brake dust - it's better than anything commercial I've bought to do it, but won't protect the rim like the Auto Glym does.

Still, it's cheap and easy. :)

I've done the Tea thing. Works brilliantly..

Bowdens Own does a brake dust remover - spray on and it turns purple as it reacts with the dust.
Then just hit it with the Karcher!

It's called Wheely Clean. I have used it too and it bring the wheels up wonderfully. They really sparkle. I bought a spray pack to try and then bought a bulk pack as it was better value.

I used a spray on wheel cleaner from Car Care Products for my D4 and Golf. The other tip is to swap to low dust pads. I use Hawk Performance ceramic or HPS pads which are ultra low dust. No black euro wheels for me.

Just bought the "wheely clean" product from AutObarn and on first use it seems very simple to use and certainly does a really good job. I will now explore some of Bowden's other products. I have been using Maguiars stuff to date. Couldn't find any of the wheel protector from Autoglym mentioned above but will keep an eye out for it.

I'll take this opportunity to thank Tombie and LandyAndy for all their valuable Posts. I have just ordered some GOE rims and will probably get the D697's in 265-60-18LT as they seem well recommended. :)

Really good bit of kit.
