Has anyone had Steve Smith in Ballarat carry out any engine tuning on their Disco 4, namely EGR closure, Quantum Blue tune & DPF shut off ?

Not by Steve Smith tallents, but yes, I had a Quantum tune and EGR shut off done 3 maybe 4 months ago.

My main motivation for getting the remap done was to defeat the EGR. As an aside I had seen many threads discussing the positive outcome in terms of fuel economy when the EGR was disabled and so I saw this as an added bonus, the power & torque increase was not a key motivator for me (but a bigger bonus) as I have found the standard output OK, even when towing my 3.2t van and I just do not normally pedal it hard.
So, that said, first objective achieved 100%, very happy.
The fuel economy, the jury is still out (at about 80% deliberation) but I think there is little overall change. I must admit to being a little disappointed with this as I guess all the previous discussion I had read indicated a useful reduction, typically around 10%.
Power / torque increase seems significant, seat of the pants, because as yet I have not been able to quantify it. I thought I might run a 0 to 100 kph time, or find some one who wants to do a side by side:D I do remember the first time I gave it a boot, not even WOT and it was absolutely a "holy s**t" moment. We have just come back from the west coast on holiday with the van and I am absolutely convinced it has made a difference, the car holds top (8th) much better than pre-tune, even holds top going up slight inclines where as previously 7th was the gear of choice.
