View Full Version : Mounting rear seats

I'm going to fit some rear seats from a LWB Station Wagon into a shorty but I couldn't see how they mounted.
Seemed to be only a bolt at each end but looking in the parts manual (page attached) the seats are missing the brackets that clip into the cappings (2off 333295, 1off 333293 & 1off 333294). As the vehicle was supplied partly stripped with parts missing the chance these brackets will turn up is pretty slim.
Some basic dimensions of these brackets would help (I have to look at my IIa GS to see how those seats are mounted ) so if anyone has some seats handy and could measure the brackets it would be very helpful so that I can make some up.

The wagon has a raised section at the rear for the seat to bolt to but at the front it just bold through the hump of the wheel arch. Was any reinforcing fitted where the seats mount ? I'm thinking I will plate either side of the floor'

Had a look tonight and the IIa GS has similar brackets on the rear seats. That will give me an idea of what I need to make.
Problem is they just shove into slots in the tub capping so really need to be galvanised...maybe a wanted advert will throw some up ?
