G'day everyone, for the last 10 months I have moved to a hotter climate than where I previously lived. Since this time my roof lining has started to sag in the corners in the back , where the roof raises, sun visors and the left A pillar. Has any one else had this ? Is it expensive to fix ?
Cheers

I've got the same on my D3. Haven't got round to getting an idea of a price to fix it though.

Got mine done by a bloke in Winnellie as mine was very badly sagging. think it was about $450 for a complete new lining plus the front pillars as well.
It was a slightly different colour but I was happy, a couple of spots around the edge of the back window could have been better but not enough to get upset about.
Cant remember his name but there was only 2 in the phone book and he answered the phone and could fit the car in pretty quickly. His shed is a few doors up from BOC.

Was that including removal and replacement Ean? Or did you just hand him the liner and A-pillar covers?

Drove it in at 07.30 and picked it up at 5pm. he said it was a bigger job than he thought but think it had to do with the rear air con.
But he removed the whole thing and fitted the new fabric then put it back in.

My vehicle is 10 years old and at least a third of that has been in Broome and Darwin and the only sign of sag is across the middle row of seats but nothing serious. The A pillar air bag covers are not really stuck on at all though :(
I had the D2 done in 2010 by Gary Doyle and he did an excellent job. Back then it was $350.

I tried to find Gary as he did my D2 also, and I think did a better job, but I am happy with this 1 also but if you look close you can see it could have been better.

According to the Yellow Pages he's now in the Coconut Grove Industrial Village.
The D3 lining is in better nick than the D2 was at the same age.

Cheers Dale. Yeah I remember dad had a d1 when I was younger and within about 5 years the roof lining was on my brothers and my head. It's deteriorated quick up here this time last year it was perfect, same with my dash I'm getting 2 small cracks just above both corners of the passengers airbag.

Can't see any cracks on mine - but then I don't look under the dash mat.

We got the cracks at the airbags as well, but a dashmat hides them.
If Gary Doyle is still around he is well worth tracking down as his work was bloody good. I seen about half a dozen different cars he done and they were all very good.
