Good afternoon Chaps
I have a 95 Defender 130 and have run out of EP90. BP tell me that Castrol hypoid long drain80w90 API GL-5 man 342 type m2 is the same.Does anyone know if this is correct for everything except the gear box?.

You could use any brand like this

Here's what they recommend for the tdi 1995
EP80W-90 GL-4 : Gear & Transmission Oils : Products Guide : Comma Oil & Chemicals Ltd. (http://www.commaoil.com/passenger-vehicles/products/view/183)
It recommends a change at 24 months or 40,000 kms. If you think your operating conditions are severe you could do a change at 12months or 20,000 kms.
Anyway this is what the handbook for the tdi recommends.
