Tonight I had stopped in a carpark locally.
I got out to deliver something and back again.
With my 80 year old mother on board I push the go button.
The dash lights up, then shuts down again. No engine starter noises.
I waited a minute and tried again, no good.
I locked and unlocked the car, no good.
I turned on accessories, push button without pushing brake pedal, accessories work fine, so I press brake and try again. No good.
After about 10 mins and my mother getting a little anxious, I remember I had the IItool in glovebox.
I plugged it in, opened the app and checked for faults.
4 came up, I cleared them and all good.
Anyone with similar experiences.

Sometimes the brake switch can be finicky. Give the brake pedal a few pushes and check if brake lights are coming on.
If they are try again.

Cant recall what the faults were.
Really didn't take too much notice, just wanted to get going.
I did notice the brake pedal felt firmer, was I dreaming it?
No problems since.
It has done it once before, a few months ago.
I'll bring it up at it's first service, in about 6 months time.

You really need to take note of the faults, even better email them to yourself. The iiD is great for this. Very quick.
Or even quicker ..... when faults are displayed on your phone screen, take a photo of the screen, which will be saved and then clear faults.
Having cleared them, there's now nothing to provide to the dealership and they may not believe your story.

Cheers,
Scott

Yep, I have my email address filled in so that it's even quicker to email. hit the email button, hit send - all done in 2 taps on the screen.

I also noticed that when the brake pedal feels firmer, you have to stomp on it considerably harder to start the car. I have had this happen twice now. No faults were registered on my GAP Diagnostic Tool.
