Best roof rack access yet

After giving up on fitting a half ladder to the rear of my 110 for roof rack access, I came across this: A telescoping alloy ladder. It's probably lighter than the steel half ladder, AND has the benefit of allowing access to any part of the roof rack. It collapses to approx 50cm, and rated to 150kg.
I carry it in the back of the 110.

Great idea! I am currently looking for a ladder as I have just bought a second hand full length alloy rack for my Disco 1 and this looks to tick all the boxes. Was going to buy the half ladder for the back door, but this is more versatile.

It is a way better option and you can buy longer ones as well. They are also Australian Standard compliant.

How can a ladder be ADR compliant ?, ADR's are only for vehicles.

Hi Mick.
It works for me as my knees are shot.
I can move the ladder to any section of the roof rack and reach the center with ease. It's light, and stores easily in side the rear of the 110.
No need to have to crawl around on top of the rack to get to items.
Just my experience but l think it's a great option.

I would also add that it can be used for other than access to the rack and another added bonus is that it will make it harder for others to gain access to the rack when you are not around.

I do actually keep a ladder in the carport at home, but I hadn't considered driving around with it in the vehicle.
