Poly Air bags ???

Hi Guys ..... my ride leveller on the county decided to ***** itself last week and instead of paying $500 to have it rebuilt, i was advised to can it and put a set of poly air bags in the rear springs instead, does anybody have any advice please ??? rebuild or go the airbags ??

best thing I did to my Disco was to put standard raised spring with poly air in the back, good ride around town and will take the load when loaded up for the trips with out the harsh ride when empty

Don't know about you ride leveler though.

It will cost between $400 to $500 to have the polyairs installed.

They are not self levelling but I am very happy with my polyairs.

I have no direct experience with the self levelling unit but have heard that they do fail.

Cousin John removed it from his county. It weighs a ton. He wasn't sure whether it was working or not. He has polyairs to install.

I can actually get the poly airs for $350 fitted in Brisbane ...... cheaper than rebuilding the self leveller ...... and after rebuilding the front diff and installing new rear axles i think i'm gonna turn into a tightwad for the next few months style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Go the poly airs, I have standard springs with poly airs in my defender, the did the job on my recent trip to the simpson, I believe your articulation will increase with the self lever removed. When loaded adjust the ride hieght than forget.

I gained about 3" of travel when I removed my polyairs.

Had already got rid of the boge
