Hi all,
Unfortunately my search for a high quality steering boss kit resumes.
After ordering and receiving my Exmoor Trim steering wheel boss kit ( EXT900-04 to suit 2015 Defender ) I find out that it will not fit my steering wheel.
Unbeknownst to me at the time the Exmoor Trim steering wheel boss kits are 6 x 70mm PCD.
The threaded holes are situated at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 o'clock positions.
Momo steering wheels and those with the same pattern will fit.
( I have been told that Exmoor will now update their website with this information )
However, my steering wheel has a 6 x 74mm PCD and bolt holes at odd numbered positions.
Furthermore, the outside diameter of the boss prevents me from drilling and tapping the boss kit to suit.
My last resort would be to machine down the thickness of the boss, and make up an adaptor style spacer.
The Exmoor Trim boss is a high quality solid aluminium unit, and a lot of the cheaper versions are steel pressed or fabricated items with a flimsy plastic surround.
Does anyone know of a boss kit of similar quality designed for a 6 x 74mm PCD and a 2015 Defender ( reverse style indicator cancellation )?
