D4 MY13 Factory Bullbar Removal

Hi Everyone,

New to the Discovery club in the last couple of weeks, and have seen some great information on here. I just picked up a second hand MY13 TDV6 D4 and it came with the factory bullbar. I'm not a huge fan, and don't really have a need for it. The original owner was advised by the Dealer it can be removed and everything is in tact underneath, however I made a call to my dealer and was advised that the bumper will have been cut and will most likely need a new bumper. So just wanted to see if anyone out there installed or has removed the factory bullbar them self, and if so was there any cuts to the original bumper. Don't really want to shell out for a new bumper, got a good deal on the car itself, so I can live with the Bullbar if I have to. Thanks!

You'll find a number of secondhand bumper covers on eBay / Gumtree etc from people that have fitted aftermarket bullbars. Should be able to pick one up for $100 then the cost of a panel shop to color march it. I don't know if the fog ligthts are the same to swap them across.

You could always list the bullbar in the AULRO market place with a $ plus swap for an original bumper cover. Should come out a few dollars ahead that way.

If you remove the factory alloy bar you will need a complete replacement bumper and two front wheel arch flares....

Thanks everyone, you have confirmed what I thought and it is cut, I will check out a couple of the above bumpers or a possible swap/sell, and need to look into pricing colour matching etc..
