Fitted a similar one on my Defender, and could not tell the difference noise wise or performance wise, but it should help in theory.

I have a decat with egr blocked, ive removed the centre muffler and imstalled one of these. Nice exhaust note and quicker spool up. In saying that i have a alive tune and cooler which i think is nicely complemented by the free flowing exhaust. The low down torque in my 2.2 is pretty impressive, everyone that drives it can't believe how hard it pulls down low in the rpm range

Have you had any issue with the silencer pipe hitting the transfer case and body because the pipe is too light so the rubber holder pulling the pipe?

It's not a matter of the pipe being to light, it's a matter of the flanges being welded on at the wrong angles.

The flanges when bolted up to the remaining exhaust system, pull the rear muffler around so that it hits on the underside of the rear floor ribs and also makes the rear exhaust pipe hang down approx 2 inches more than stock.

It also puts a lot of pressure on the flexible bellows at the front.

The rear pipe on both my TDCI 90's hits the towbar bolts as well ( the rear pipe is well clear of the same bolts without the center muffler replacement pipe in place).

Sorry if my reply is unclear, but I've just come home from having surgery at the hospital, and I hope I'm making sense...

Mike.

Edit: one is well clear of the transfer case, one is approx 1 inch away from it, both are going to be cut and rewelded when I'm better after surgery.

I increased the oil capacity with an add on cover, the flanges were pretty close, so I cut if off and rotated it out the way.
