G'day all,

I've posted a wanted to buy in the Forsale section for a AC Compressor for a 300tdi engine.

abaddonxi pointed to an interesting sale on Ebay :

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Don't know about freight, but I saw some on US ebay for US$90.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AC-COMPRESS...011025657QQrdZ1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AC-COMPRESSOR-LAND-ROVER-1994-1999-58557_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33543QQitemZ80110 25657QQrdZ1) [/b][/quote]

However if I remember rightly the LR only sold the yanks v8's.

So my question is - is the AC compressor the same for the 300tdi as the v8's? They reckon that the kit comes with AC Compressor, Clutch, and Pulley but no engine mounts.

If it's the same AC compressor, then I might just be able to get away with sourcing some engine mounts 8O

Can a couple of you guys have a look under your V8's and tdi's bonnets and let me know :?:

the complete a/c system fitted to Oz Tdi's was a Land Rover Australia fitted kit supplied by AMC industries.
It really bears no relationship to any other air conditioner fitted to a Land Rover anywhere else in the world.

The OE compressor is a Sanden SD7H15-8032, which is a standard, off the shelf Sanden compressor. (6 groove poly vee belt, 119mm dia. clutch, 12V, standard 'O' ring fittings)
My catalogue also lists a Sanden SD7H15-8089 as a replacement with a "120mm, (clutch) 12V 7PV special direct mount vert pad" ??, but it doesnt list which model Defender.
FWIW, mine is an -8032
