Hi all,

can anyone give me any advice (or links, vids, docs etc) on what is required to do a DIY (MCC Falcon A frame) bull bar install on a 2002 D2?

Is it simply a remove and replace job? or are there holes, bolts and other annoyances I need to deal with?

I did a Land cruiser a while back and it was pretty much a straight swap from memory.

I had a quick search but didn't see any threads that seemed to answer this.

Cheers

Wil

I imagine it would be pretty straight forward mate. My disco 1 bull bar was 6 bits and about half an hour.

Don't forget the headlight washers tho, and fog lights.
Maybe have to wire in any indicators that come extra in the bar.

I've had a look underneath and the bullbar seems to be mounted directly to the chassis with 2 bolts per side. Honestly looks quick simple to do yourself.

Have to drill holes with the quality bars, well ARB winch bar you have to anyway.

There's some instructions here that may help.

G'day Wil, I fitted my mcc bar my self, nothing out of the ordinary from memory, I fitted winch at same time and just folded the washer hoses over and cable tied them off, I didn't bother fitting washers back on. I didn't get fog lights with my bar so I used that wiring for my light bar, yes I know not quite legal but we are not going there.
Cheers

Thanks all for your replies! Picked it up at lunch today and had it on by dinner time. I'm pretty stoked with it! Wasn't quite straight forward, but that was more to do with a couple of spacers that were folded incorrectly when manufactured and slightly too large washers making things a bit difficult.
