Ok, seeing as Ace and Maggot is getting moving on their own projects I thought I should start mine as well. I've got a 110 Defender 2 door Hardtop that I would like to convert into something a bit more useful. This is the vehicle in question:

I wouldn't mind any of the three but the wife will most likely want a 90 or something small, especially in a nice blue
The 110 ute is basically a weekend job and will cost almost nothing. The 90 will require a lot of work and money and is dependant on finding a chassis. The 100" Hybrid will again challenge my bank account and will require a chassis cut, something I haven't attempted before. Any thoughts?

If you chop it dont chop it to 90. Pick an old number like 80" style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif
Seriously - have you still not sold the old girl ? You must be asking too much for her mate !
As much fun as Defenders are (my favourites style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif ) I'd go the "get lockers" option and buy a different landy as a second one. Like an older Disco or even better an old Rangie !
Variety is the spice of life, mate.

I haven't advertised the old girl apart from here ... was only asking $7k ... very reasonable for a 300tdi 110. The problem is ... every time I think about selling her I remember the good times ... and the many hours I spent fixing the little niggles ... you don't just give up on that sort of LOVE 8O style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif
I agree .. variety is the spice of life ... hence the 90, ute or hybrid question  Seriously, I'm not a Disco/Rangie person ... as brilliant as they are. I'd mainly use the old one to commute during the week which will save putting the km's on the Greylandy.
