Have read a few threads recently that comment on the body being lifted off to perform certain fixes... and how it is a somewhat easy procedure. So have begun to wonder what is the repercussions could be on some of my current and future modifications?

Has anyone had the body-off with after market accessories installed? Traxide, Mitch Hitch, UHF antenna cable, reverse camera plug/cable, driving lights, Kaymar rear bar, Long-range tank, ARB/OL bull bar, etc.

Did they remove/re-fit everything?

The more I think about it... it is no longer a quick procedure!

Did a body off a few weeks ago that had all that except the Kaymar rear bar, but did have a rear wheel carrier and rear work light.

It added about 3 hours to the process, partly down to the pivot for the rear wheel carrier had seized in it's hole. All the rest, if installed correctly, shouldn't hinder the operation. The front bar will add about 30 minutes compared to the front bumper.
The long-range tank only needed it's wiring unclipped, the filler neck undid with the standard filler.

Try and either keep an installation entirely within the body, or entirely along the chassis.

Nah. We've collected up all the unwanted genuine D3&4 jacks, and we use them balanced on top of each other.

Whats the implication of mounting the UHF Aerial on the Bull Bar? I assume the Bull Bar stays fixed to the chassis when the body is lifted>

The base would need to be removed,or a join put in the cable, wich isn't good practice.

mmm......the cable on the aerial that I was going to use comes out of the base and needs to be threaded through the base fixing hole...so it wouldn't be possible to remove..(without cutting it) I notice that a lot of people have mounted on the roof..presumably to avoid this problem. Been searching the web for another base with side exit cable, but not been able to find anything suitable?

I would have thought that when it came to body removal time, the UHF aerial would be the least of your concerns?

After all it got routed there somehow in the first place.

Don't the antenna mounts have a slot in them so that you can just loosen the nut and slide the base out??

If you haven't fitted your antenna yet than you have the opportunity to slot the mounts for the future
