Love the Beau. There is a wreck at the Millingimbi airstrip along with a Beaufort and Hudson. Always in awe of some of these machines.
Significant pieces of armour plating from the nose with battle damage ,still makes me wonder what it must have felt like to hear the impacts and know it had done its job..
Like so many machines of the war despite being a destructive weapon they have great beauty and often grace.
Love the comment on shearing of the prop on an engine losing oil pressure

We have one of these in our local Moorabbin Air Museum.
It is said to be the only one in the World with engines that are capable of running.
