Hey guys,

Hope you've all been well. Just wondering what the best way to clean inside the headlight lens is. I'm missing one of the circular screw on covers that sits behind the bulb and water got inside. I removed assembly and drained water, but now there is an ugly white watermark on the lens. I've dried it with a hair dryer and stuck some cloth on a coat hanger and tried to wipe it off that way, not real effective. Also sprayed some contact cleaner in it to evaporate the water, that may have contributed to the white marks.

1). Has anyone successfully cleaned the inside?
2). Can you remove the lens from the assembly?
3). What's the best place to get a replacement circular screw on cap, see picture.

Cheers.

The D2a has a polycarbonate lens not glass. so it might scratch the inside?
You still need to get rid of the water film that will be on the reflector.
Maybe a dishwasher rinse aid or something?

My lights reflectors had a misty film on them. I just used dish washing liquid and warm water in them and gave them a good shake. I also used a bottle brush in through the hole and rubbed it gently around then rinsed it out several times. It then sat on the ducted heating vent until dry. Hope this helps.
