Some more here, Tombie. How the World wasn't reduced to ash in the post War years is pretty much more good luck than good management.

Aren't we the lucky ones.
Australians are especially lucky, when you consider the fall out from the atomic tests at Maralinga , and other places, would have moved East, with the weather patterns, and dropped its deadly cargo on the unsuspecting population. How many generations paid for that folly?

They were right. It was, and still is, all about Oil. And, the US was paranoid about Russia, back in the day.
