Can anyone confirm whether traction control does or does not work in reverse in a D4? I discovered today that TC did not work in reverse in my MY12 RR with 1 wheel front and rear spinning although ABS intervenes if the brake pedal is lightly depressed while wheels are spinning. A trailer was attached but I can't think why that would disable TC.

I do know for sure the trailer being connected changes several attributes. I just don't know what. Perhaps thinks you will not be off-road with trailer?

The message that off-road height would not be selected for rock crawl was displayed because of the trailer but I can't fathom why TC would be be disabled. I will try again without the trailer plug fitted to be sure.

Graeme, look back at a few early mag roadtests on the L322.I recall one mag getting into a bit of strife on a steep rubble climb when they had to abort and back down.Apparently the electronics didn't work.At the time I put it down to non Landy friendly reporters/lack of knowledge in the electronics at the time.
Sorry, cant help with the Mag brand, would have been one of the main ones at the time,it was an aussie mag.

I know HDC works in reverse. Not sure if HDC is completely independent of TC?

I recall HDC working on reverse on the D2 but don't recall reading or experiencing whether TC has worked in reverse on the D2 or the D4.

I didn't have the time today to put the trailer in the same awkward position to determine if disconnecting the trailer electrical plug made any difference, but should be able to do a simple test in a few days when the rain returns without unduly messing-up the ground.

On the D4 and L320 TC and TR work in reverse.

Cheers,

I will try it again without a trailer connected on my test ditch that leaves D4 wheels dangling in the air when driven diagonally.
