View Full Version : Various trailer pics for inspiration

I thought it might be good to have a thread where people post various trailer pics for inspiration. I had in mind those that especially 'suit' Land Rovers stylistically rather than camping trailers in general. This would include trailers made from old Land Rovers.

Here's one to start:

Now that is wierd, surely a caravan would be lighter than that combo ?

it looks like they mounted that on the trailer to get enough height inside to stand upright without cracking their heads......

only thing is the trailer is huge compared to the usable area.......

And more useful. Not only that, one can buy quite good cheap caravans - look at the one Scott from this forum recently bought and sold. Also, the car trailer is probably worth nearly as mucgh as a cheap caravan.

However, we don't know if this old panel van can be taken off the car trailer to allow the trailer to do double duty - thus avoiding two lots of registrations, etc.

Any idea where that trailer was made or came from?

No mate - it came off a US 4wd website but there were no details about the trailer apart from "note the tow hitch this was used when the trailer recovered a four wheel drive" 8O (I think they mean there was another gourby pulling the trailer at the time)

No, I think they've used the hitch receiver in the trailer rear bar to recover another 4WD behind this combinaion.

It looks very nice, but with the wheel arches and the fancy curves at the corners it looks like you'd have to be travelling with a lot of socks that need stuffing somewhere to fill up the unused space.

Cheers

Yeah, yeah. We believe you. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

(Have you ever noticed that the correct spelling of "believe" has a "lie" in the middle of it?)

Go back a bit further and you get "belie". Be in contradiction with, contradict, negate. 8O represent falsely. 8O

I saw this in Caboolture on Sunday arvo about 5pm. 8)

Besides the dogs in it, it looked like it had water tank and sink/tap and not sure what else - we were on the move when we saw it. 8O

Photos are only from my phone, so apologies for the quality.

Would love to get a decent tub and do this myself - of course it won't be towed by a Tojo toy like the Prado in the pics

Anybody know anything about this trailer? :?: :?:

Here’s a few trailer pics I have collected off the net.

The first being self explanatory and probably the only way a toyota could improve it’s fuel consumption.

These next two would make anybody happy to have in tow.

Ball weight? wheels at the rear?
Zero ground clearance!
The concept of a bar is tops. (slide out maybe)?

Any movement on the tow cars rear would have to grind the "trailer" front end.

I'll stick to "cute" in my previous post.

I know a few of you are also keen on Bikes so heres a nice lil package take your bikes and camper with you. I guess the big thing here is that your ball weight is a bit better managed.
