I am trying to hire an engine code reader or scan tool for a 2000 Discovery 2 TD5 that has multiple electrical problems.
Looked at buying a code reader with Sprint Auto, Super Cheap Auto and AutoBarn with the cheaper code readers around $230, they are very limited and numerous early vehicles before 2007 not supported well.
None of the hire shops have one.
The legendary Nanocom so many talk about would be good, but in Australia the Span On Tools MODIS (about $2700 to buy) is the ducks guts and in most workshops.
Unfortunately a I struggling financially, I did not buy this vehicle, my old man gave it to me (he upgraded) as my old bus (60 series LandCruiser) was dying on me, so forking out $1000 for a Nanocom I think I will use for a couple of days, is too much for me.
So anyone in Adelaide with a Nanocom or Span On Tools MODIS for hire?
Thank you, Rob.
