Does anyone know if airbag replacement springs for a RRC are the same dimensions (width/height) as earlier traditional non airbag springs(pre airbag)
cheers

Weight is Weight,,, YES, they are indeed the 'same'. Find an equivalent sized wreck and pinch the coily things...

- Also there are non-OEM aftermarket variations available for different ride-heights, usually designated by coloured paint...and rarity! and co$t.

Dampers are different, as air/metal springs behave differently, though I understand that you can 'get away' with using your originals if you only run around town.

Metal springs are cheaper, simpler, Reliable.... but air-bags give you several different ride-heights in ONE unit. :D

But you will want better/newer/ adjustable-rate or more fashionable shockies anyuway...

yeah, i hear you.
I never did sort out the problem on my dads RRC air system.
he's getting on & wants the reliability of the springs.
plan is to leave it all in tact & just swap out the airbags for springs, blank off the air lines to keep them clean.
so down the track I might be able to sort it out. its a nice clean Classic
Just have to much on ATM.
Thanks

Again its him wanting springs, set & forget...
