Gday Everyone,

It's time to replace the D1. I was looking at Td5s but my budget can now extend to a D3 but I've noticed L322s are in that price range. I know there has been a lot of discussion over time about Td6 v 4.4v8. Love the idea of the cheaper rego and possibly fewer issues of the Td6. I'm going to give the guys at British Off Road a call but would really appreciate advice from those with everyday experience.

Hi and welcome.

I have had both cars (albeit the RR is a 3.6 TDV8). Both are great, the Disco having 7 seats is a big advantage.

To me, and this is my opinion alone, the RR seems to be better built. The suspension lasts longer than the D3, there is less wear and tear.

But they are both complexed and you do need the diagnostics kit to go with them.

You'll notice a slight change from a D1!
