My 1999 130 TD5 has me stumped.
I am in the process of fitting a high capacity radiator. On the bottom R/H side the new radiator has two snoots, one facing forward on the front of the radiator to fit a hose from the front of the fuel cooler. The other snoot facing to the rear of the radiator connects to a hose that goes all of the way around the back of the engine partly via steel pipe to what I think is the odd shaped hose fitting to the oil to water cooler.
The snoot going to the front of the fuel cooler is drilled allowing water flow to or from the bottom tank of the radiator.
The rear snoot on the new radiator that connects to the oil to water cooler is not drilled preventing water flow to or from the bottom tank.
I checked the genuine Landrover radiator I removed and it is the same, rear snoot not drilled.

What am I missing here?

Thanks

They changed the flow on later revisions.
If it was going to an earlier vehicle the hole would need drilling out.

I take it then as mine is 1999 build it would be classed as an early model so I need to drill the snoot?

If it wasn't And was running fine I'd leave it be...
The rear one goes to the oil cooler which has a habit of failing and filling the cooling system with oil.

So if it's worked fine I'd leave it as is
