So, given that our D2's and D2a's are now between 12 and 17 years old, I'm wondering if anyone has taken any steps to renew the rust prevention on the vehicles? e.g. respraying cavity wax through the injection holes, etc.
Over the past few years prior to a couple of bigger trips with beach driving I have sprayed the underside with fish oil a month or two prior.

I'm a fan of fish oil even if it does need reapplying once in awhile

Fish oil works OK, Lanolin IMHO works better, supports our farmers and smells good.
Once I have wired anything up that is exposed to the elements (Trailer plug etc) I spray it with Lanolin.
Farmers used to soak super spreader chains in diesel off season, they would still tend to seize, in a bath of Lanolin oil they stay loose, it is a good product!
Cheers

Xtroll Rust Conqueror UV. Higher specific gravity than water and gets everywhere. Dries hard. I also have it on a non galved boat trailer that gets dunked in salt water... No rust for 3 years with Xtroll Easy Gal over the top. Cheers
