Hi
We've been asked by one of our advertisers for an SUV in Sydney. They're looking to fit some lights to it and shoot the vehicle for some advertising/product shots. They're happy for the owner of the SUV to keep the lights once finished. Main request is for a dark coloured vehicle.
If interested please email me: andy@maynemedia.com.au with some vehicle details (final decision will rest with the client).
Thanks

I don't believe LR make a "Sports Utility Vehicle" [emoji48]

I'd better not feature them in the mag anymore then. ;)
Also not sure if Land Rover would agree with that anymore either. :)

Yummm, not sure what happened to my post at lunchtime, so I'll just go again.
Bugger, too bad I don't live in Sydney, my new car could use some spotties after the bull bar is fitted in a couple of weeks. :(
Loire Blue HSE, fits the bill just right ;)

You could call them a Luxury 4wd [emoji12]
Americanisation of language is a plague.

I hate that term as it is just plain Americanism and no need for it in Australia:eek:
Why do we have to follow the septic`s .

I agree with you entirely Tombie. How we have gradually ended up with the crappy SUV name in Australia or what SUV has got to do with a 4WD or any vehicle sold in Australia is beyond me . It annoys me no end!!

It's an industry term rightly or wrongly. VFACTS use it to separate commercial and non commercial 4wd/awd vehicles. So I guess it's been adopted based on this.

Sydney is not far for a weekend trip:)
Duel lane with cruise control can't be that hard to do mate.
Either before or after the bar goes on depending on what is required by one of our site sponser's advertiser.

Andy,
As part of the media you could use your influence to educate - perhaps an article about the misnamed SUV [emoji41]

That's not a bad idea actually, there is a lot of confusion around what an SUV is and what a 4wd is. I think that's partly (read mostly) the media's fault too.

I'm sure Kyle and I would be thrilled to take it for a quick thrash up to Sydney.

Has there ever been a more meaningless acronym? I always read SUV as Soft Useless Vehicle.

I always read SUV as Soft Useless Vehicle. :Rolling::Rolling::Rolling:
The shame is people buy a soft-roader thinking it's as capable as a true 4WD.
