Hi Guys.
Info on the jack I mentioned in the jack thread,I have given it a thread of its own.
I went and saw Kevin at Rover-Tech today about his jack.
OK,its small,has a 2.25t rating,it has a carry case,its brilliant.
He tells me its the only small jack that fits under a lower control arm with a flat tyre(years of experience looking for the perfect jack). It takes 2 pumps of the handle to lift the wheel clear of the road.Cost is $130 plus GST.

Kevin also has a stronger version of those emergency jump starter packs(the mini things) Tells me they will start a D4.
And a mini compressor that runs off it,says its good, the thing is tiny!!!!

Nope but chatted to one of the other blokes. Definitely LR heaven. Some nice D4 and RRS rigs in there in touring setup.

Or the sand?
Thinking it couldn't be any worse than the OEM POS.

According to the information on the case seen here
http://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-4/222778-new-jack-option-12.html#post2586506
either of those conditions could be interesting without anything under it to provide a level surface.

I always carry two small pieces of 20mm ply.
Actually have never used them yet, could be the type and size tyres I run;)

Some specs would be good, but maybe they have to come from rover tech.
I wonder if it will fit under the suspension arm with a flat tyre and 17" rims?

The ones I found online identical to this one weigh "almost 10kg" including all attachments

Kevin had to go upstairs to his mezzanine to get one, after selling one during the week.It didn't look heavy,so 10kg would be about right.

I was more after min and max heights, maybe I will give rover tech a call during the week,as I can't find the exact one on Google.

I found that as well,although,some are 130 to 495mm.
Anyway,no rush, will find out during the week.
Need it for the vans as well, even though they have a good hydraulic jack:),it would be much easier to use a small trolley jack, around the Worksop.

I have a similar jack for my D4, I have a piece of 600 x 300 x 5mm aluminum plate to use as a base on soft surfaces, works perfectly and lies flat in the back of the car when not in use. :)
