parker light and engine not stopping

the last few trips out in the defender I have noted that if I turn the parking lights on while driving the engine will not stop till I turn the light off,
I know it a goog way of not leaving my lights on as I do so often.
It just seems strange to me.

I would think that your fuel cut-off solenoid has a bad earth.

well it turned out to be a gooped up headlight relay. It must have be giving power back into the ignition circuit. I found a tail light that works good but has an internal short. This was causing my parker light to come on with my stop lights.
I replaced the two internal ralays in under the fuse box just to make sure.
