I am really sorry for again asking another Q.
I have done the option B mod all sweet
ABS warning light now comes on during the the pre start check, on for a sec, then off for half a sec then on again till goes over 7kph.
Cool, mine ain't going off once over 7 kph, it remains on.

So my question is if option B solved the problem, should the ABS still work (ie get the shuddering when heavy braking) or will it not work until the Hawkeyes is connected and the fault (svs elect fault) cleared, I am presuming it's a hard fault.

Oh and will just bleeding the brakes manually lots of times and not using the hawkeye to run the pump render the abs to not kick in
thank you
Dave

The start up sequence you quote is normal

It's also the normal sequence on a Disco 1. It is a self checking sequence.

The ABS will be inhibited while the light is illuminated. The start up sequence is normal but I think that the light is not going off above 7kph as you either have a second fault or you haven't cleared the already logged codes.
I would get a Nanocom or similar and start by assessing the codes and go from there.
Have you checked the air gaps at the ABS sensors for dust/dirt ect?

I have only used the power bleed function on my Defender and wasn't very impressed. I prefer to do it old school.
