In my current project I have fitted 11 inch brakes. I will be driving them with a VH44 booster and dont want to fit the CB master cylinder.
The clutch is a 3/4 bore CV with integral reservoir, I was wondering if the same cylinder would do for the brakes as well.
Any ideas?

Keith usually only difference between brake & clutch M/C is the brake has a valve under the bottom spring so you may have to fit a brake repair kit in it. Cars with disc brakes dont have the valve because the calipers dont have return springs to push the postons back

if the bore size is similar then check the stoke.
The biggy will be running out of fluid volume-integral clutch container is small.

residual line pressure valve is a good idea with rover drum. you may be able to get an inline valve as some early cars did not have one in the master cyl bur screwed on the outside port. I did a google looking for a picture of a Leyland P76 PBR as I wrote it and got 1000's of hot rod links to allow new modern master cyl on old cars..

FWIW when I bought my IIA 109" it was fitted with an 88" CB cylinder. I didn't realise at first. Stopped on a dime with very little pedal effort, but was almost impossible to keep adjusted up.

The local brake bloke sold me a 1 inch bore master with a big integral tank.
I am fitting a VH44 booster as well.
The only problem with the master is the outlet faces the bulkhead so I have to cut a hole for the pipe:(

You need to check which vh44 you have. They come in different bore sizes. A smaller bore will give you more brake boost, but you may run out of stroke if it doesn't have enough displacement.
