In the future when people can modify themselves with cybernetic parts and genetic upgrades, you just know that Defender owners are going to be at the front of the queue.
The topic title will be 'What Defender upgrade did I give myself today?'
'Installed those hydraulic leg extenders so I can step into the Defender without climbing up.'
''I had that new webbed toe surgery for when water floods into the footwells during a river crossing.'

In 2025, I tuned my hearing system to lower my recognition of the thuds and clunks of defender ownership, while increasing my perception of the higher pitched noises that indicate engine problems and worn bearings etc. I also opted for the 120Hz package, which means I can no longer hear the wind rushing thru the cracks of the defender at highway speeds!
