I have received the following via email
if anyone can help the gentleman i am sure he will be most appreciative
TIA
Hi my name is James A Pearson (senior@jimpearson.com.au)
I worked on S.M.H.E.A. from January 1950 and was appointed assistant to the Plant Engineer his name was Pat Mullins he was allocated a Land Rover Welder in June 1950.
He preferred to be driven so I had the Land Rover and picked him up each morning to inspect Plant & equipment in the regions where work was progressing.
Part of my duties was to repair equipment with the welder where possible, which saved a lot of time and expense, the option being to transport the machine back to Plant workshop at Polo Flat Cooma.
This Land Rover was fully imported through Grenville Motors and I think it was trialing the 2 Lt motor.
I would like to know can identify this vehicle and if it is a club members Land Rover
Thank you in anticipation Jim
