The lines are getting very blurry now between these vehicles :censored: !!! check out the new style of the Disco 5.:mad:
If they (LR) are not careful people will have trouble identifying what vehicle is what. As Toyota/ Lexus found out; when most couldn't tell the difference between them :confused: and lost a lot of sales because your $100.000 Lexus looks the same as the Telstra tech's vehicle :D:D:D

The conflicting LR product is the RRS. However, I think price will help the choice as the coil sprung single range RRS is about $100,000.

For Joe Public,they all do look way too similar.

Even the Disco sport has a massive Discovery badge on the front and rear,it will surely get confused with the new Discovery?

At a glance on the road,it is very difficult to tell whether a vehicle is a RRS or a RR or a FFRR.

And now the D5 is thrown in as well.

Very confusing for future buyers,IMHO.

And how that Evoque ever got a RR badge is beyond me?

I agree that visually each group of vehicle should have had its own identifiable look, while still being subtlety connected.

However, the consequence is for the RRS and Evoque owner. They paid a premium for a vehicle that looks like a discovery from the front at least.

IMHO the Evoque lured a heap of people into the brand that were never off road inclined but like the idea of owning a premium brand. LR delivered a product that met their on road experience expectations and exceeded their off road expectations. And the initial offering was really a cloaked FL2 having the same motor and drive train. LR probably got to try out their new alloy mono body manufacturing/engineering processes and made a motza.

Ford made the same mistake and did the same thing with its Fairlane. Consequently buyers moved on to something else and the Fairlane was doomed.
