I have blown one of the OEM tyres on my D4 and was wondering what to replace it with. These are for soft road use only as I have a set of GOE 18" rims with serious off road tyres for more adventurous travel.
Do I replace like for like or another brand with same specs in anticipation of replacing remaining 4 with same when they wear out? Current tyres done approx 20k and spare nil. If I replaced with another Wrangler I would be putting it and the spare up front with the 20k tyres at the back and one for spare.

My opinion they're a good road tyre
And surprisingly capable on soft surfaces.

I'd suggest like for like if available.

LR put them on i guess they cant be too bad ? not much more for the duratrack much better tyre even if you dont see any off roading with them

IMO they are only good for bitumen work and maybe beach work. They get cut up very badly on gravel roads. I blew one and destroyed the others on a Simpson trip. I got another second hand set very cheaply on ebay as replacements. About $50 each I recall with about 70% tread left on them. Just keep an eye out if you want a replacement.

I have BFG KO2's now in 18 inch and they give a more comfortable ride than the original 19" wranglers and no difference in handling except more noise.

Hello Boggs

Are you in Melbourne?

If so, please DM me.

I have a spare avail if you decide to go with the 19" wranglers. It's done under 2000kms.

Thanks
