Freelander 2 spare car key

I'm new to this forum, just joined today.

One of the car key for my Freelander 2 isn't working.

Need help with some advise on where to get a spare key and have it programmed.

I understand they're expensive. Advise on where best to get them would help.

Does it start the car but won't lock or unlock with the buttons?
It might just need the battery replaced. It's not as simple as most remotes as you solder the battery.

Hi Raj,
I have just purchased a new key from Land Rover. I explored purchasing a un programmed key and getting a third party to program it but decided it was too risky, many folks said some worked and some did not, right enough you can get an unprogrammed key for around the $100 and get it programmed for about $90, but if it does not work.... So in the end shelled out almost $500 for the smart key
