Hi all,
I have owned the aforementioned vehicle for about a year now and she is due a service. I had the 120K intermediate service done by the fine fellow at RoverLand in Ferntree Gully. I was well happy with his work and will go back. Problem is she is now due the 140K main service and I am well skint. So...gunna give the straight forward bits a bash myself, then back to RoverLand for the dicey stuff.
All's well till now. I can hold my own in the spanner swingin' stakes but as this is my first LR ever, I don't actually know what needs to be done on a main service!
Yes, I can guess oils, plugs, leads, brakes etc, but cannot actually nail a list of all the stuff to change/check/tweak. I shelled out for the RAVE disk and have read most of it. Couldn't find the dummies service guide although a lot of other good stuff was there.
Anyone care to enlighten a novice?

Regards
Ralph

Hi Ralph
On my Disco2 Rave there was a sheet that you can print out that covers all the service tasks/intervals,much like a report you would get from a dealer.
It may have been in the "library" section of the disc.

Thanks,
I'll have another poke around the RAVE disk. Might have missed it first time.

If its only 20k since the last service, just change fluids and filters, check plugs ( dont need to replace unless buggered) thats all i have ever done on my 2 rangies in 11 years and disco's are no different !

Hi Ralph

If you PM me your postal details I can send you a copy of the checklist from the Haines manual I have. The WSM that I have should have something in it too.

I use the sheet to keep track of everything. There are a heap of easy but not completely obvious things to check that can be done from under the car. Easier on a hoist, but it can be done.

My handbook has the service items in it - 140,000km is basically check and top up everything - except - renew O2 sensor. This is the one item that is peculular to this service.
