Hi,

Just need some help with the removal of the inlet valve rockers.
I've undone all the necessary bolts (I think). The head is loose but i cant remove the rockers to remove the push rods.
Should the rockers lift off complete or do I have to undo the bolt on the firewall end of the shaft and slide out the shaft detaching the entire rocker gear in pieces.

Thanks for your help. The manual seems to suggest that it just lifts off but I'm not convinced.

Some pictures attached.

Cheers

Richard

Just looking at your images, I would suggest that the 'dowels' are holding the rocker shaft assembly in place, you can see one of the dowels in your 2nd image, my suggestion would be to use a small blade screwdriver and hammer, giving the base of the rocker assembly at the opposite end (not where the dowels is the other end) give them all a little nudge, lever them up gently, or maybe just a light tap on each pedestal block (the block where the rocker shaft goes through) with a soft faced hammer, anyway cheers Dennis:)

Thanks Dennis,

That would make sense. I wasn't sure if they were dowels or some kind of permanent fixing. Either way I didn't want to start any form of persuasion without knowing how it's put together.
