Hi Mick,
I was just going to post a comment so there was a reply but after reading the link to your other post im quite intrigued.
Can you have the ECU mapped to give better performance from how it has been programmed from stock. Is this the unit that people talk about some times when they say they have had there motor chipped :?:
As in a year after a few other thinks Im going to bolt on to the Disco the engine will be my last mod if there is anything available.
Like Extractors or a chip for engine performance.

Hey Graig, hear you guys had a great day out at Ormeau https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
Yes, my ECU has been re-mapped or "chipped" as people say. It was done by Bruce Davis of Davis Performance Landies in NSW and Rick at Rick's 4x4 fitted it for me.
Basically if you order it through Rick, Bruce will send up a complete new re-mapped ECU which Rick can plug straight back into yours and you are on your merry way again in under 5 mins. I think the cost is now around $1000 but well worth it and there is a chance your model Disco can be "flashed" so you can keep your existing ECU. If you are thnking about it, I would have a chat to Rick who is very easy to deal with - tell him I sent you - he can give you all the info you need. He will also let you have a shot of his wife's car which has been chipped and you are more than welcome to try mine too - although mine is a manual.
If you do go for it and get Rick to fit it, I would see if Rick can move your ECU from under the passenger seat to somewhere a bit higher as well as I mentioned in another post. If you get water in your cab and drown your ECU, you are going nowhere fast.
Happy to give you more info if you want so give me a call - 0422 132 225
How were the lockers??

Mick,
Talked to Rick and it would prob cost the same as a new rear bar for the Disco to move the CPU from under the seat. So I have decided to keep out of the water to a degree and go for the rear bar upgrade.
Since I would have to spend $155.00 for a rear parking sensor that I lost on the last trip I’m already saving for the rear bar not getting the sensor.

Wise man........both going for the rear bar and staying out of water https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
