Gents,

Sometime in the near future, I've got to replace the Front Windscreen Rubber and while it was out I thought it would be a good time to put a whole new windscreen in as well, considering the one that is in it is fairly well pitted to the point where when driving into the Sun, it's getting quite hard to see through.
Question: Where can one source a new front windscreen in Brisbane for a Defender 110 and what would one expect to pay for it?

cheers....
Rob

any of the auto glass suppliers will be able to source......they should be able to supply the rubber as well

I just had a new rubber installed when mine was getting its respray.......the panel beater used a mobile guy.

I have no idea on costs

With mine the Local Auto Glass Guy took out the original window screen and cut out a new one using the old one as a template (it is just a flat piece of glass). They couldn't get a rubber seal but I did source on from my usual parts supplier.

Shannons provide 1 free windscreen claim per year with no excess - what about your insurance?:wasntme:

Are you in the RACQ? Some levels of membership include a windscreen a year.

Yeah, I've got the top roadside cover, but I'm not aware as to whether that includes a windscreen.....

Never realised my RACQ Ultimate cover includes free windscreen replacement!

Lesser cover plans provide 20% off, but not sure where from.

Windscreens O'Brian replaced mine. Had them in stock somewhere in Perth. It was done under Shannon's free windscreen so not sure what they would charge.

Hi mate, I've had like 3 screens done in the last couple of years, I've got a mate who does them in Fernvale basically. He's mobile and goes down to Brisbane all the time. Just Windscreens is his buisness name. I think it costs around $240 fitted. And just grab a seal off ebay.

G'day, whoever replaces your windscreen make sure it's plain clear without the blue tinted strip across the top. May not annoy some but if you're over 6 foot its a pain to look through.
Cheers, Andrew.
