Recently when selecting reverse gear the picture on the touch screen goes black. Touch screen otherwise functions normally. Anyone got any ideas.

Almost certainly a failed camera. I replaced mine with a $6 ebay special which gives a better picture, especially in low light conditions. Took a little bit of mucking around to get it to mount in the same spot as the original, but nothing insurmountable.

Which picture format, NTSC or PAL? My MY12's monitor needs NTSC when using a camera direct to the monitor instead of from the surround system.

I've got an RRTDV8 MY08 so might be a bit different to yours re the camera system. Where do you find out the info on whether it's NTSC or PAL? If you're referring to a surround camera system my vehicle didn't come with that feature.

I used an older digital camera to o/p in NTSC then PAL to discover which format was required, inputting to the monitor after having disconnected the video feed from the surround system.

I had this problem after washing the car with high pressure or very rainy weather. It hasnt done it for quite a while but im thinking it had something to do with the tow wiring as the camera works of the reverse lights. :)

Mine is an 07. I found out about the problem on FFRR. Very common.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the factory camera (not the enclosure just the camera unit itself). I've seen different types on ebay ... one 16mm diameter and the other 20mm. I'm just trying to work out which is the better fit into the enclosure.
