I'm getting the extended flared guards on my 90. I would like to replicate the colour of my stock guards on them with the gloss black. Has anyone painted them? Do they flake? Crack? I really don't like the plastic black they come in and will do whatever I can to get them in a true black and gloss if possible. Any ideas or thoughts?

Maybe speak to the manufacturer about what plastic it is made from, and what surface finish they have used (if any).
Then either ask advice from manufacturer for painting instructions, or speak to your friendly local panel shop (I wouldn't think they are too dissimilar from painting any other plastic bumper bar etc)

You need to get a plastic primer and gloss top coat. The colour can be supplied in an aerosol can by most paint shops, given the right colour code.I believe Supercheap can do it.The finish depends on the texture of the plastic. I painted a Defendoor this way.Looks good but the finish is still textured:p

It's all good. My panel beater can match existing and says it won't crack or flake

😎😎

Il post the pictures when I get them back
