I have bumped into this one twice on our East to awe at trek to far. It's a Merc, that much is clear, but sheesh. It is HUGE! What is it? Looks the goods for a zombie apocalypse!

Yep, it's a Mog. I'm tipping a U5000.
The ex ADF Mogs are U1700.

Yup, Don and Digger are on the money.... Mercedes Zetros. Looks a bit like this from the front. I think they're ugly, and couldn't afford one!! Using a Mercedes SK for my build. :)

Curious as to where it was spotted.
Brother spotted one very similar sounding(with the rear hydraulic bike rack).
Seen in Melb on Mon 28 Nov.
Can't imagine there'd be two(or more) of them currently cruising around Aus.

according to their ZAK website, they seem to have started using it in about '14.
Prior to that they look to be using a 75 cruiser camper.

We saw it at Jenolan Caves NSW then again at the Goldfields Big 4 caravan park in Ballarat Vic.

The zetros is between the Unimog and the very heavy duty actros. I test drove one last year as a replacement work truck for a specialist application. They aren't actually all that big when you compare it with an Actros..they would make a great round the world camper..
