Enquiry: Have you had any alternator problems?

Hi guys, just a quick enquiry here:
Have you ever had problems with your alternator?
If you haven't, just reply no (trying to quantify here the amount of people who had).
If you had, how old was the vehicle from new when it happened? Any more details of how it happened? What do you think Land Rover should do to fix this issue?

We have thousands on members on this forum driving many many different model Land Rovers built anywhere in the last 68 years.

I'm not sure you are going to get any meaningful data from your enquiry.

But for what It's worth.. no I haven't on any of the Land Rovers I have owned.

Is there a model of LR you are you are talking about as this might help .
Ive owned lot`s of Landies some old some near new and some highly modified.
On some of the old cars i might have done a alternator but i would`nt blame LR for that,
I dont understand where you want to go with this .

No model specific but more to the V6 diesel (2.7L & 3.0L) and the V6 petrol engines.
I am trying to better understand this issue or if this is not an actual common thing

2008 D3 V6 Deisel replaced alternator in mid 2016 @132,000ks only because I was doing the timing belt so fitted a new one at the same time.

Not sure what problem you are referring to , maybe give us an idea on the problem so we can answer more specifically .
