Hi Green fingered guys and gals!
Can anyone tell me what type of bush this is please? And does anyone know why of the three in our garden two are still doing well and looking healthy and the third has just suddenly died over the last couple of weeks?
They all get the same sun, water, soil etc. What's happened?
Also, what is the smaller plant (the photo of just the leaves)?
Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing (without further info) that it is a Hollyhocks
- probably Alcea Rosea (loved by English Gardeners) - very tall with pink flowers - likes full sun

In the first photo, the lilac coloured shrub may be a callistemon (bottle brush)
In the second photo the smaller dark leaves are strawberry.

The second photo has strawberry as mentioned previously and the larger leaves are a squash/pumpkin/zucchini.

Thanks for the replies!
I think there was a bit of confusion: we know the smaller plant in the second photo is a strawberry plant, it was the second one that was a mystery. Is it a pumpkin/squash/zuchinni or a hollyhock? We're just going to let it grow and see what happens. :)
As for the bottle brush type plant, I don't think it is one of those. We can't find any examples of a bottle brush that look like that.

The first 'bottle brush like' one...is a Hebe.
Second one, a guess...maybe a zucchini?

I think it is a Buddleia Davidii, the first one with flowers
