The fuel tank on my 2001 Discovery 11 has split? and leaked fuel over the exhaust pipe. Lucky its a diesel. Has anybody had a similiar problem?

I'd check with LR, there may be a recall. Disco 1s had a problem and a recall on split fuel tanks.

To see if there is a recall try here http://www.recalls.gov.au/index.php They have all the recalls in Australia

I've never seen a DII tank split in normal service.
There was a recall for a pipe on top of the tank that needed to be replaced due to rubbing.

Has yours had the recall done ?

PM your VIN & I'll check for you if you like.
