Hey all,
Has anyone mounted the large ARB driving lights to the front of a disco 4 using brackets that come through the front grill?
I'm looking for a way to mount these lights without going down the path of a bullbar.
Thanks in advance.

I had my Lightforce 215 LED fitted by Tim at Autospark Osborne Park,
He has the various brackets already made up, with my lights ( the ARB LED's are nearly identical ) they are a very heavy lamp, best you maybe drop down and you can see the option, it took a bit of reinforcing to get mine stable.
I will try to find some pictures for you,
Jack

Page 3 of this thread shows a through-grill bracket design that Chris has fabricated himself:

Bloody hell - that's over $300 landed in WA for a simple pair of brackets. :o
I'm starting to think that now I've got some time up my sleeve and have finally sorted my workshop out, I should start knocking up a few simple products like these for a bit of pocket money. :)

Yeah, but there really is only a very limited market for the sort of products that you enjoy, and I'm not allowed to advertise them on here - not even in the markets section. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2016/12/312.jpg (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/skype-emoticons.html)
And that red leather you like so much is getting very difficult (and expensive) to find. Anyway ............ hope the others you are meeting up with on your fishing trip enjoy your outfits. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2016/12/313.jpg (http://www.easyfreesmileys.com/facebook-smileys.html)

Thanks for the suggestions.
I'll pop down to Autospark Osborne Park and have a look at their options.
LRD414 - I had a look at that thread prior to posting, but I wasn't sure if those brackets will take the weight of the ARB lights? They weigh something like 3kg each.

I get a tiny bit of chatter on rough roads with my mounts referenced above (by Scott) and yes my lights weigh nothing like 3kg each. You are not going to fit much bigger than a flat bar through the gaps in the grille without taking to it with a saw...
Cheers,
Chris

I have fitted a light bar using brackets through the grille.
The bar probably weighs 3 kgs at least & does vibrate slightly on corrugations but no worse than my D2's spotties mounted on the bullbar.
No doubt there is room for improvement, I just haven't had the inclination yet.
