Hi all and Merry Xmas to all land owner drivers.
Have a problem just lost my display, radio, sat.nav. phone and reversing camera etc. from the blank display panel. Not the fuse controlling display all's good in that department.
It was working then jumped into car 15minutes later and nothing.
Manual tells me nothing.
Any thoughts

Rodg,
Did you get any warning lights or messages?
Did you lose all of your dash, instrument cluster, centre console & a/c etc.?
Could be a bad earth point.
What year?

Hi to Tombie and Mungus
Problem solved you would think that fuse 68 that says radio etc. would be the problem, but alas no it was fuse 40 which did the electric windows and memory seat 5amp fuse fixed the problem. Have updated my manual to add said display to fuse 40.
Tried the battery disconnect first but nothing it was worth a try thanks to both for your advise.
Cheers safe Xmas to all

So I wonder if there's an underlying issue that caused the fuse to blow?

Hi Everyone,
On Mrs Jeffoir’s D4 (295,000km) the display screen has gone black. No radio, no phone. Nothing.
Car starts OK and runs normally.
Background
1. I accidentally flattened the battery yesterday, mucking around with trailer lamps.
2. I tried to start the car. The clock ran backwards, display screen said ‘flat battery’
3. I shut it down and left it on the charger overnight.
4. all good today, with exception of the black display screen.
Corrective Action
1. Did forum search and found the following which I have done.
2. checked fuses for screen, radio and seat memory? (Seat step suggested on the forum) all fuses are ok.
3. Tried to reset screen by holding radio on/Off down for 20 seconds. Nothing.
4. Disconnected battery for 20 minutes
NO SOLUTION.
5. I have NOT yet done the two battery leads connection. I’m unsure about this step.
greatly appreciate any advice please as I have a six hour drive tomorrow and would be nice to have audio.
thank you.

the screen problem rectified itself after a second battery disconnect.
I was planning to do a pos/neg cable join as per this LINK (https://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/Hard_Reset?__cf_chl_tk=2iUm0QUuFQY3GXmz9Kz0tTZnz_h 19SU8vTSOA3ELpMI-1759563329-1.0.1.1-Iwyf8dwDAugoBZDCEa4j.NjuXWwLP7LFYZ8L5qshmmE) when it rectified. My Indy said the D4 screens don’t like the battery going flat, but normally will rectify. He also said that the cable join procedure is also useful.
safe travels to all.
