Hi There,
2005 RRS black leather interior, are the leather seats all real leather? Some vehicle manufacturers advertise vehicles with a leather interior only to find out that only the seat squab or the sides are made out of real leather.

The absorbancy of the leather conditioner seems different for different parts of the seat, me or are some parts of the seats a synthetic leather material?

like to hope that the seats are all real leather, even in this day and age where we are stuggling to be able to say Merry Christmas you do wonder.....

Cheers Marty

If it is like the D3 and D4, the back, lowers and sides are vinyl. Only the actual seating areas and bolsters are leather.

Depends on the model and spec. Some have vinyl cubby box covers and vinyl on part of seat and door trim. But if you have premium leather upgrade then this changes what is where. You need build sheet for the car to know what it came with

I recently bought a second hand 2009 Freelander 2 HSE Spec. which has 'leather' seats. The side of the drivers seat had a few cracks in it and I was advised by the motor trimmer who repaired it that only parts of the seat were leather and the sides were actually vinyl.

And here is the WARNING - Leather treatment products that are designed to protect and keep the leather nice and soft have the opposite effect on vinyl - hence why mine was cracked. So be very careful when using leather treatment products on you 'leather' seats.
