I think it's called the Sunshine Coast Land Rover club ;-)

The Land Rover Owners Club of Brisbane does not discriminate against north or south.

Whilst the meetings are on the South side (Moorooka), the trips are about even on heading north or south.

Check it out www.lrocbrisbane.org.au (http://www.lrocbrisbane.org.au) for all you need to know.

Our last meeting for the year is on Monday night so come along and check it out.

the club is just a bit to far away for most outer northside residents, by the time you get there it is time to come home https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

i will be trying to get there monday night myself....

someone realy needs to start one in the brendale / strathpine area IMHO there has been a need for a down to earth club in the region for quite a while.

Sorry Inc

If you are referring to the LROC Brisbane website then that is my fault.

It's my baby

I have not had a lot of bandwidth (metaphorically speaking) to update it lately.

It's on the list.

Cheers
Dave

Thanks for the invite guys but we are heading off Saturday for 2 weeks holidays .

Maybe next year.

Another site member ( RAT ) and I are looking to join a proactive club ( the northside would have been nice ) so we will see what happens.

Maybe we might look at starting a club out this way, I would have to look into whats involved , but its a thought.

G'day Folks https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
I might be worthwhile raising a motion for an expression of interest in forming a North Brisbane Branch, as there are a lot of potential members north of the river that can't spare the time to travel to Moorooka, and the Sunshine Coast club is equally distant. Just my humble thoughts. That way the branch would still operate under the constitution of the Parent Club and possibly able to use the same public Liability Insurance and Deed of Incorporation https://www.aulro.com/afvb/.

I agree an expression of intrest would be great. Where do we start with that ?

"Branches" are difficult as the constitution required a quorum of members to vote on issues at the AGM and if the executive is at one but not the other (there can only be one executive) then messages tend to get diluted etc.

It's really not a big issue we have had people come up for one or two meetings from the Gold Coast etc and join up. Or just tag along on a trip (these are listed on the website when they are planned) and meet and greet us all. There is no need to come to meetings if trips are your thing, but one meeting to introduce yourself is always good. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Maybe they could have a meeting at Moorooka and the next month at Narangba, that way they would pickup more members and cater for both sides of town.

Just a thought
