On my return from overseas, I had to visit a doctor in Sydney, so before I left for overseas I phoned Land Vehicle Spares to check that they could supply a muffler for my S2a, which they could, and would have it ready for me on the 5th December.
So on the 5th I drove from Yass to Sydney - and don't ask me about parking near the RPA Hospital. The traffic was not bad, particularly after a month in Houston, but the doctor as usual was about an hour behind schedule. This meant that I got caught up in the start of the evening peak hour and it took me a while to find Land Vehicle Spares at Silverdale. It turned out they did not have the muffler I needed, but sold me one to be delivered by Wednesday at no delivery charge.
This morning I was on my way to the village to pick up the mail and the muffler when I got a call on my mobile to say that the muffler could not be delivered because there was no street number. Considering that I live 6km from the nearest street, and the village does not have street numbers anyway, I don't know how I am supposed to have a street number. And they might have mentioned this when I paid for the muffler. I am hoping to get it delivered to the shop in the village tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath.
Not a very good introduction to dealing with Land Vehicle Spares. I should have followed my usual route and ordered it from Melbourne.
